Budget and Planning 

Each year the Chapter Board should create an Annual Plan & Budget to prepare for the upcoming year.  When creating the budget it is important to consider the below expenses, in addition to ordinary chapter programming.

• Granting local chapter scholarships (HIMSS offers to manage scholarships through the Foundation) 
  • Ex: Students
• Sending new leaders to the Chapter Leader Exchange
  • Designated Attendee--expenses include airport parking and meals
  • Additional Attendee--expenses include registration fee, flight, hotel, airport parking, and meals
• Sending a representative to the Public Policy Summit as part of the Chapter Advocacy Roundtable
  • Expenses include registration fee, flight, hotel, airport parking, and meals
